This phase includes consultation and data gathering. One of our qualified professionals may begin with a sensitive measuring test to record the radon level. The non-invasive test lasts over a few-day period. Once the raw data is inspected, a written recommendation to take no action, mitigate or retest in the future is composed. We keep an eye on budgets to ensure the lowest costs, stay on top of schedules for timely delivery and work closely with the design team to create the most suitable outcome.
Our most commonly used procedure is to use sub-slab-depressurization. If we had yet to perform a sub-slab airflow investigation, this would be the time. All holes and cracks in the floors would be properly sealed the main suction pit excavated. The exhaust piping may be run directly outside, or through the house for better concealment. At this time, the fan will be installed and activated.
The last step in any build. This phase includes site cleanup, systems training and final inspections. We double-check the sub-slab airflow, system labeling and, if installed, the sump pump is working.
All that's left is to retest after 24 hours but less than thirty days to make sure the system is performing properly.
